PianoEspoo concerts are held at various venues in Espoo and Helsinki. Traditionally, the festival’s main venue is the Espoo Cultural Centre in Tapiola. In 2025, additional venues include the Karhusaari Villa, the churches of Olari and Espoonlahti, the House of Nobility, EMMA – Espoo Museum of Modern Art, Musiikkitalo, and the Finnish National Opera’s main stage.

  • The Helsinki Music Centre is one of the city’s most prominent concert venues and cultural meeting points, located at Kansalaistori in central Helsinki. The Music Centre opened in 2011 and is jointly owned by the University of the Arts Helsinki, the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra.

    The Music Centre is located between the Central Railway Station and the Parliament House at Mannerheimintie 13, 00100 Helsinki.

    The nearest paid parking facilities are Aimo Park Finlandia and EuroPark P-Eliel.

    Accessible taxis can drop off and pick up passengers at the Kansalaistori entrance of the Music Centre. The entrance is step-free.

    The building is fully accessible and wheelchair-friendly. All floors are reachable by elevator.

  • Built in 1864, the House of Nobility (Ritarihuone) is located near Senate Square in the heart of Helsinki. This neo-Gothic and historically significant venue hosts PianoEspoo concerts as well as a variety of other concerts and meetings throughout the year.

    The House of Nobility is located at Ritarikatu 1, 00170 Helsinki.

    The venue is easily accessible by public transport: several tram lines stop just around the corner, and the University of Helsinki metro station is 800 metres away. Paid parking areas in the city centre are within walking distance.

    There are a few steps at the main entrance, and access to the Assembly Hall (used as a concert hall) on the second floor is via staircase from the main lobby.

    Step-free access to the second floor is available via a separate entrance on Ritarikatu, where a doorman will guide you to the elevator. The door on Ritarikatu will be opened at a pre-arranged time. Please notify us in advance of your need to use the elevator at info@pianoespoo.fi.

    An accessible restroom is available on the second floor.

  • Karhusaari Villa, also known as Sinebrychoff Villa (formerly Karhusaari Art Centre), is a neo-Renaissance wooden villa built on a high granite foundation, located in Karhusaari, Westend, Espoo. It has been described as the most architecturally interesting of Espoo’s 19th-century villas.

  • The Finnish National Opera and Ballet is housed in the Opera House, located by Töölönlahti Bay in Helsinki. The building features a Main Stage as well as the smaller Almi Hall (Alminsali), where PianoEspoo will perform this autumn.

    The Opera House is located at Helsinginkatu 58, Helsinki. The building has two entrances: the main entrance on the Mannerheimintie side, and the Töölönlahti entrance via Oopperankuja. When attending events in Almi Hall, please use the Oopperankuja entrance.

    The venue is easily accessible by public transport. Trams and buses stop just a few hundred metres from the Opera House. Find your public transport route: [Journey Planner].

    The nearest public parking area is about 100 metres away at Mäntymäki Field (Mäntymäentie 1). Parking is subject to a fee on weekdays until 9 PM, but is free on weekday evenings and weekends.

    The Opera and Ballet’s private parking area on the Töölönlahti side is reserved for accessible parking. This entrance also provides step-free access into the building.

    Almi Hall has wheelchair spaces, and accessible entry is provided via a dedicated elevator located to the left of the stairs leading into the hall.

    Please note: street works on Mannerheimintie between Kiasma and the Opera House may cause delays when arriving by public transport or car.

  • Olari Church is located in Niittykumpu, Espoo, at the address Rälssitilankuja 1, 02200 Espoo.

    The church is easily accessible by metro: Niittykumpu metro station is just 350 metres away. Free parking spaces are available next to the church.

    Disabled parking spaces are located at the end of the driveway near the church building. There is a lift next to the stairs on the urn grove side, providing access to the upper yard of the church. Short-term drop-off traffic for persons with reduced mobility can also drive up to the main entrance.

  • EMMA – Espoo Museum of Modern Art is one of the most significant art museums in Finland. It is located in Exhibition Centre WeeGee, a vibrant hub for museums, exhibitions, and events housed in the former Weilin & Göös printing house in Tapiola, Espoo. PianoEspoo concerts at EMMA take place in the second-floor exhibition spaces and the Atrium.

    EMMA is located at Ahertajantie 5, 02100 Espoo.

    The museum is 800 metres from Tapiola metro station, which is served by the metro and key bus lines. A local bus stop is located 350 metres away, at the intersection of Ahertajantie and Pohjantie. Paid parking is available both in the outdoor area and the Kulttuuriparkki parking garage next to the exhibition centre.

    Accessible parking spaces are located in front of the WeeGee building. A ramp from the accessible parking area leads to the main entrance. Taxi services for visitors with reduced mobility may drop off and pick up passengers directly at the main entrance. Wheelchairs and walkers are available to borrow from the lobby.

    The entrance is fully accessible. The accessible elevator to other floors is located next to the café.

    Free, lockable storage lockers are available on the 1st floor. A self-service cloakroom is located on the basement level (K). Outdoor clothing, umbrellas, large bags, backpacks, and bicycle helmets must be left in storage.

    Restrooms are located on the 1st floor, the basement level (K), and next to the restaurant. Accessible restrooms are on the 1st floor and in the basement, both reachable by elevator. Gender-neutral restrooms are located on the 1st floor, in the corridor behind the WeeGee ticket counter.

  • Espoo Cultural Centre in Tapiola brings together numerous Espoo-based cultural organizations and offers first-class facilities for a wide range of artistic experiences. The centre houses two concert halls: Tapiola Hall and Louhi Hall. The Espoo Cultural Centre is located in Tapiola at Kulttuuriaukio 2, 02100 Espoo.

    The centre is 500 metres from the Tapiola metro station and bus terminal. Several paid parking garages are nearby (Kaupinkallio, Tapiola Park / Ainoa, Heikintori), as well as the Kulttuuriaukio outdoor parking area.

    There are two accessible parking spaces in front of the main entrance at Kulttuuriaukio.

    The main entrance to the Cultural Centre is wheelchair accessible.

    Accessible restrooms are available within the building.

    There are elevators in the lobby and near Tapiola Hall providing access to upper floors.

    Tapiola Hall and Louhi Hall are equipped with induction loops, covering the central seating areas. For more information, please ask the lobby staff.

    Tapiola Hall has wheelchair spaces in the upper section and, depending on the stage setup, also in the front section.

    Louhi Hall has wheelchair spaces in the upper section. Step-free access to Louhi Hall is available via staff areas, assisted by the lobby personnel.
