Aapo Häkkinen, the renowned keyboard virtuoso behind the success story of the Helsinki Baroque Orchestra, explores the performance practices of the early 19th century. The Early Music movement has long enriched Baroque music interpretation through insightful readings of historical sources, and this approach has finally reached the works of the early Romantics as well. Recently, Aapo Häkkinen has delved deeply into the music of Robert Schumann, recording his chamber works and conducting the opera Genoveva.
